ATHENS - Kirby Smart and No. 1 UGA football are taking on No. 10 Ole Miss in massive showdown in Sanford Stadium on a Saturday night Between the Hedges. Here is a look at the crowd Between the Hedges as fans Light up Sanford.

*Summary Of The Offense: Georgia tallied 304 yards of total offense on 30 plays in the first half to build a 28-14 lead.
*Georgia went 4-for-4 in scoring TDs on its four possessions in the first half before the fifth ended with an INT.
After trailing 7-0, Georgia responded on its opening possession with a game-tying 75-yard TD drive in six plays in 3:02, capped by a one-yard run by senior Daijun Edwards. Edwards finished the first half with 45 yards on eight carries and a pair of TDs.
*On the second possession, the Bulldogs went 60 yards in three plays in 1:22 to take a 14-7 lead.
*On the 3rd possession with the game tied at 14, the Bulldogs went on top 21-14, going 75 yards on eight plays in 4:18, capped by another one-yard run Edwards, giving him 10 for the year and 21 for his career. Edwards has had four games this year with at least two rushing TDs.
*Junior QB Carson Beck went 13-for-15 for 214 yards with one TD and one INT.
*Senior RB Kendall Milton posted a seven-yard TD run to make it 28-14. It was his sixth of the year and 15th of his career to finish a nine play, 62-yard drive in 5:31. Milton had six rushes for 38 yards and 1 TD in the first half.
*Junior WR Ladd McConkey had a team-high 81 yards on four catches including a 29-yard TD to make it 14-7 with 3:09 left in the first quarter It was his second of the year and 14th of his career.
*Junior TE Brock Bowers tallied two catches for 26 yards. It was his first action after missing two games due to an ankle injury.
*Junior Rara Thomas (2 rec., 54 yards) had a 44-yard catch to help set up Georgia’s first score.
*Defensive Review: UM posted 194 yards of total offense on 36 plays. The Rebels finished 3-for-6 on 3rd down and 1-for-2 on 4th down.
*Ole Miss became the fourth straight SEC team (and fifth overall) to score a TD on its opening drive versus Georgia to take a 7-0 lead, going 11 plays in 75 yards in 4:30. On its second possession, Ole Miss gained 35 yards before turning it over on downs.
*The Rebels scored a TD on their 3rd possession to tie the game at 14 with 14:16 left in the 2nd quarter.
*The Rebels fourth possession resulted in a punt after three plays for minus 10 yards while their fifth possession ended with an INT.
*Senior Tykee Smith and junior Kamari Lassiter posted a team-high five tackles in the first half. Senior Nazir Stackhouse had a sack.
*Junior Javon Bullard notched his 2nd interception in as many games.

Captains, Coin Toss and For Starters: Juniors Carson Beck (QB), Ladd McConkey (WR) and Smael Mondon (ILB) plus senior Nazir Stackhouse (DL) served as the game captains. UM won the toss and elected to take the football. Van Pran made his team-leading 40th career start. Freshman C.J. Allen (ILB) made his first career start. Junior Brock Bowers (TE) returned to a starting role after missing the past two games due to an ankle injury. Junior Amarius Mims (RT) returned to action after missing the past six games due to ankle injury.
During the first half, Georgia honored former coach Mark Richt who has been elected to the College Football Hall of Fame while two-time national champion quarterback Stetson Bennett received the Burlsworth Trophy as part of on campus salutes. Also, the Champion Golfer of the Year, former Bulldog Brian Harman, was recognized as the 2023 British Open champion. Also the 2023 SEC Tournament champion women’s tennis and soccer teams were honored along with former head women’s tennis coach Jeff Wallace who retired after the 2023 season.
*Honoring #77 Devin Willock: Redshirt sophomore Micah Morris (LG), normally #56, wore #77 today in honor of his late teammate Devin Willock. A different Bulldog offensive lineman will be wearing #77 each game this season.
