ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the UGA football team are coming off a tough, hard-fought win over the South Carolina Gamecocks this past weekend, and there were several high-level juniors in town to watch it all go down.
One of them was four-star running back, Alvin Henderson. One of the top running backs in Alabama out of Elba High School, Henderson is 5-foot-9 185-pounder ranked as the No.88 overall prospect in the country for his class.
Henderson has always been high on Georgia, and he broke down his latest visit with Dawg Post.
“This was my first time being at a UGA game and the atmosphere was loud and crazy,” Henderson said. “The way the backs ran the ball caught my attention early! I’m leaving the school satisfied with knowing what everything me and the coaches talked about! They let me know where I stand with them and how I’m a priority for them at the RB position in the 25 class. They made a good impression on me and my family.”
“I was able to talk with the coaches and their main message was that I was a main priority for them in the ‘25 class and they love everything about me from the classroom, translating it to the field, and being an outstanding athlete. Everything about Georgia stood out from the time I arrived to the time I left because that was my first UGA game. That caught my eye because I’ve always seen what they are able to do on TV but I was able to get up and experience everything in person this time.”
Henderson is off to an incredible start to his junior season, rushing for 912 yards on 59 carries (15.5 yards per carry) and 18 touchdowns. He rushed for 191 yards and four TDs in week one, 218 yards and four TDs in week two, 232 yards and five TDs in week three, followed by 271 yards and five more touchdowns in week four.

Another major 2025 target in town was four-star receiver, Jordan Allen. One of the top wide receivers across the South, Allen is an explosive weapon and one of the fastest overall prospects across the country.
Playing at Buford High School with QB commit Dylan Raiola, Allen has played terrific football so far as a junior. He’s been one of Raiola’s top receivers so far this season as he’s hauled in 18 passes for 332 yards and a touchdown.
Like Henderson, Allen also made sure to give Dawg Post an update on his Georgia visit from this past weekend.
“Their drive, fight, and passion throughout the entire game really stood out”, Allen said. “They play together as one unit. They’re a family! Even with the weather conditions and early mistakes in the first half, they didn’t let it decide the rest of the game. They bounced back and brought home the dub.”
“The atmosphere was crazy”, Allen added. “The people that make up Athens love football and it showed yesterday. The stadium was very loud. Lots of Georgia colors that filled the stands!”
