PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Bulldogs are off to a strong 2-0 start to the NFL season.

Eagles fans everywhere need to say a big, collective, “thank you” to Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs today, especially after their 34-28 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night.

Not only did Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter manhandle Viking offensive linemen all night, but running back D’Andre Swift ran wild against the Viking defense for 175 yards and a touchdown.

Close your eyes, Lions fans. Detroit gave up of Swift, and that’s looking like a real dumb decision. Classic Lions move, though.

Now that Swift is finally out of Detroit, he gets to run behind one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. Quarterback Jalen Hurts had some success throwing the ball, going 18/23 for 193 yards and a touchdown, but it was the rushing attack, led by Swift, that carried the Eagles to victory.

Swift showed that same quickness and explosiveness we saw from him in Athens. Auburn, Kentucky, Florida, and Notre Dame fans know exactly what we’re talking about.

Swift’s ability to cut and change directions on a dime is still there. He made Viking defenders look silly as he rushed for an outstanding 6.3 yards per rush. In today’s NFL, with most teams having extremely athletic defensive linemen and linebackers, rushing for over six yards a carry is an impressive feat.

It’s clear that Swift is flying high in Philadelphia, along with other former Bulldogs.

Jordan Davis did his job, making two tackles, one sack, one TFL, and two QB hits from the interior. He continues to grow as a pass-rusher, and that’s a scary thought for opposing offensive linemen who have the Eagles on their schedule. Two-time national champion Jalen Carter also has two tackles and one TFL in Philadelphia’s win. Former defensive back Kelee Ringo, who broke Alabama in the 2021 national championship game, also made one tackle on Thursday night.

With former ‘Dawgs leading the way, the Philadelphia Eagles have outstanding +350 odds to win the Super Bowl this season according to FanDuel.
