ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the UGA Football had one of the best defensive linemen in program history on the roster last year.
Of course, I’m talking about Jalen Carter.
A dominant defender and two-time national champion, Carter, after slipping all the way down to the No. 10 spot in the 2023 NFL Draft, is tearing it up with the Philadelphia Eagles.

From the blocked field goal in the national championship win over Alabama, to punking Hendon Hooker and then-No.1 Tennessee in 2022, to picking up Jayden Davis like a rag-doll in the 2022 SEC Championship game, the memories of Jalen Carter will live forever.
When you think about the great defensive linemen to every play ‘Between the Hedges”, Carter has to be in the conversation. He’s an all-time Bulldog, and if he continues his dominant play in Philadelphia, he’ll be an all-time Eagle one day.
During his career at Georgia, Carter finished with 83 tackles, 18.5 TFLs, six sacks, two forced fumbles, and ty
With Carter on board, the Philadelphia Eagles have favorable +800 odds to win next year’s Super Bowl according to FanDuel.
