UGA Football Star George Pickens Makes INSANE One-Handed Grab in Steelers Camp

ATHENS - Former Georgia Bulldog wide receiver George Pickens is at it again.
The playmaking wideout has a brilliant three-year career in Athens that ended with a 2021 national championship win over Alabama.
As a rookie for the Pittsburgh Steelers last year, Pickens showed big-play potential, catching 52 passes for 804 yards and four touchdowns. Not bad for a 2nd-round draft pick.
But if you ask George, he’ll tell you that wasn’t enough. He’s hungry for more, and that’s exactly what he told reporter Kevin Clark at The Ringer.
“I always kill DBs who are overthinkers,” Pickens said in the interview. “And what’s crazy is the overthinkers are Xavien Howard or Jalen [Ramsey], and those are the best guys. And that’s why I think most DBs can’t really check me.”
According to FanDuel, the Steeler’s NFL odds to win the AFC North this year sit at +470.

“The stuff that I do, bro, I feel like I’m the best in the whole world,” Pickens added. “I’m big, I’m fast, low 4.4 [speed]. Catch radius is crazy. So every time I get out on the field, I do kind of play angry because I should get the ball on every play if you just look at the size and the frame. If I was a coach, I’d just throw to him every time. But that’s not how the NFL works. So every time I’m out there, that’s why I throw the blocks. I love getting the ball, and when I’m not getting the ball I play angry so the attention is back on me. I basically draw attention to myself.”
Pickens is ready to make his presence known in 2023. He wants to be one of the very best receivers in the NFL, and he’s already making ridiculous catches early in training camp.
In fact, his one-handed grab over rookie Joey Porter Jr. went viral on Tuesday.
Pickens has always been able to make the eye-opening catch. He wants the ball, and the way he’s playing right now, he should see it a lot throughout the 2023 season.
