BREAKING: Georgia Bulldogs DL Bear Alexander to Enter Transfer Portal

ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs will have to fill in at least another player on the defensive line this fall. 

Georgia’s Bear Alexander is set to enter the transfer portal, according to On3. The news comes just as the Bulldogs are set to start the program’s annual G Day game - at 4 PM on ESPN2. It is unclear it Alexander will participate in the game. 

Alexander ended last season surging with very good play at the end of the Bulldogs’ 2022 national title season. He had two sacks at the conclusion of the 2022 season. Alexander played for several high schools during his prep career. 

The NCAA’s transfer portal opened Saturday, but closes at the end of April. Players can enter the portal and return to their school.
