ATHENS - 5-star Alabama commit Ryan Williams‍ will visit the Georgia Bulldogs and coach Kirby Smart on Thursday.

Williams made the announcement on social media. One of the top wide receivers across the country, Williams is expected to be a major playmaker in college football. He had 88 catches for 1,641 yards and an eye-opening 24 touchdown as a sophomore.

Williams is in the 2025 recruiting cycle. The Bulldogs have the consensus No. 1 class in the country for the 2024 cycle. Nick Saban's Alabama took home the consensus No. 1 class in 2023. The two programs have combined to play in nine national title games and have won four national titles since Kirby left Alabama in 2016.

Dawg Post's Matt DeBary said Williams is exceptional.

"He's got elite ball skills," DeBary said. "Williams is an excellent route runner and someone who knows how to get behind the secondary on a consistent basis. He’s a true game changer. Some in Alabama believe he’s one of the best to come out of the state since Julio Jones."

Williams dominated at the 2022 Atlanta Under Armour Camp in February, and he’s someone the Georgia staff will roll out the carpet for on Thursday. Williams is considered the consensus No. 1 WR prospect and the No. 6 overall prospect in the 2025 class.
