ATLANTA - Somewhere in heaven, Larry Munson is dancing.

He may have paced a hundred million miles during Georgia’s wild Peach Bowl victory, but it was worth it in the end. The famous Georgia Bulldog radio broadcaster probably called the game for the angels, but it was Scott Howard who called the game for Georgia fans all over the world.

Larry Munson was a legend, giving us some incredible calls over thee years from some great Bulldog victories. For the past decade and half, it’s been Scott Howard on the call, and he gave Georgia fans a great one on Saturday night.

On the biggest drive of the season, down by six, quarterback Stetson Bennett and the Bulldog offense started their drive on their own 28-yard line.

Bennett hit Kenny McIntosh for two yards to start the drive. Then he hit Brock Bowers for 15-yards. After an offsides penalty on the Buckeyes, Bennett it veteran Kearis Jackson for 35 yards down to the Buckeye 15-yard line.

The Bulldogs were in the red-zone, and things were looking up. Larry Munson would’ve been a nervous wreck. Two plays later, Bennett hit AD Mitchell in the back of the end-zone from 10-yards away tie tie the game at 41.

“From the 10, snap it back to Bennett, he looks in the end-zone, throws it for the back corner...CAUGHT! CAUGHT! TOUCHDOWN! TOUCHDOWN! TOUCHDOWN AD Mitchell! Back left corner! Touchdown! The ‘Dawgs have tied it.

After a Jack Podlesny extra point, the Bulldogs took the lead, and the defense made one final stop on Ohio State’s next drive.

Buckeye kicker Noah Ruggles missed a 50-yard field goal, and their dreams came to an end, sending the Georgia Bulldogs to their second-consecutive national championship game appearance. 

Now, it’s on to Los Angeles as the Bulldogs take on a TCU team that won a thrilling 51-45 game over the Michigan Wolverines.

The Georgia Bulldogs have 12.5-point odds to defeat TCU on Monday night according to FanDuel.
