4-star cornerback Daniel Harris, a speedy defender with plenty of length at 6-foot-2 175-pounds out of Gulliver Prep (FL), has once again committed to the Georgia Bulldogs.

So what are the Bulldogs getting in Harris?
Length and natural cover skills.
At 6-foot-2 and 175-pounds, Harris has a long frame, sprinter speed and an impressive 78-inch wingspan. This allows him to break up passes with ease and stick with longer, bigger receievers down the field. He’s clocked in at 21.61 in the 200m and 10.74 in the 100m so far in his high school career.
When you have track-star speed and a long frame, there’s a good chance the Bulldogs will come calling. He fits what Georgia wants physically from their cornerbacks, and he’s a natural in coverage as well. He didn’t light up the stat sheet last year as a senior, and that’s a good thing. Quarterbacks didn’t test him often, and he practiced each day against one of the top 2023 receivers in the country in high four-star and LSU commitment, Jalen Brown.
The Georgia staff can just about hand-pick their defensive backs with Kirby Smart, Will Muschamp and Fran Brown coaching them up, and Harris is one they’ve had their eye on all year long. They landed his commitment the first time back on June 30th, but Harris decided to open up his recruitment on November 14. After thinking about his options, Harris decided that it he wanted to join Georgia’s class for a second time. This time, for good.
In 8 games this fall as a senior, Harris made 49 tackles and two INTs. He’s a sure tackler in the run game and knows how to deliver a big hit when he gets a head of steam towards the ball carrier.
According to the 247 Composite Rankings, Harris is ranked as the No. 17 CB prospect in the country and the No. 36 prospect in Florida.
