ATHENS - As every Georgia fan knows by now, Bulldog assistant Todd Hartley has turned the program into “Tight End University” of late.

The Bulldogs have the best tight end room in the country and will likely hold that title next year as well.

Now, Hartley has Georgia in the running for the top-ranked tight end prospect in the country.

That would be five-star Duce Robinson‍.

The Bulldogs already have two tight ends committed in Lawson Luckie‍ and Pearce Spurlin‍, but it doesn’t look like Hartley is done quite yet.

Sources say Robinson, another elite pass-catching tight end with plenty of size at 6-foot-6 230-pounds, is still down to USC and Georgia. He’s been a top Bulldog target all year long and Dawg Post feels Hartley will once again close on a top tight end target.

The Phoenix, Arizona native out of Pinnacle High School dominated as a senior this fall, catching 75 passes for 1,439 yards and 13 touchdowns. He went over 100 receiving yards in seven games and over the 200-yard mark twice. He’s a big target and the natural athleticism stands out immediately. His frame, burst, strong hands, and ability to run like a deer after the catch makes it easy to see why he’s ranked as the No. 1 TE prospect in the country. Todd Hartley recruits the best of the best, and Robinson is the very best in the 2023 class.

Dawg Post confirmed that Robinson will not sign early, and instead sign in February, giving him a little more time to make the biggest decision of his life. Look for Kirby Smart, Todd Hartley and the rest of the Georgia staff to give Robinson an in-home visit in late January. Again, sources say the Bulldogs sit in an excellent position to land Robinson at the moment, thanks to one of the top recruiters in college football.

According to the 247 Composite Rankings, Robinson is ranked as the No. 1 TE prospect, the No. 1 prospect in Arizona, and the No. 17 overall prospect in the country.
