BREAKING: ESPN's College Gameday in Atlanta for No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs vs. Ohio State

ATHENS - For the second time this season Kirby Smart at the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs will be featured on ESPN’s College Gameday program. This time in the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta.

The company released the news before noon on Monday. 

The Bulldogs are coming off a 50-30 win over LSU in the 2022 SEC Championship Game. The last time Ohio State played there were thumped 45-23 at home against Michigan. The Wolverines are set to play TCU at the Fiesta Bowl at 4 PM EST. Georgia and Ohio State will kickoff at 8 PM EST

Georgia defeated No. 1 Tennessee 27-13 in Athens the last time the Bulldogs were featured on Gameday.

Georgia has appeared in the Chick-fil-A Bowl six times: Dec. 28, 1973 (Georgia 17, Maryland 16); Dec. 30, 1989 (Syracuse 19, Georgia 18); Dec. 30, 1995 (Virginia 34, Georgia 27); Dec. 31, 1998 (Georgia 35, Virginia 33); Dec. 30, 2006 (Georgia 31, Virginia Tech 24); Jan. 1, 2021 (Georgia 24, Cincinnati 21).
 
This will be Georgia's 60th bowl game appearance — second most of any team in the country. The Bulldogs' all-time bowl record is 35-21-3. Georgia is making its 26th consecutive bowl appearance, which ranks as the longest active streak in the country.
 
Georgia's senior class is 47-5 with four New Year's Six bowl appearances (3-0), the 2022 SEC championship, three SEC Eastern Division titles (2019-21-22), and two College Football Playoff appearances (2021, '22) including the January, 2022 national title.
