ATHENS - The Georgia Bulldogs and coach Kirby Smart have a big rivarly game against Georgia Tech this weekend, and the Dawg Post crew gives you their picks for one of the biggest weeks of college football.

Matt’s Picks

As I wrote in Final Feelings, I think the Bulldogs will be way too much for the Jackets in Athens. Even in possible bad weather, I expect Georgia to cover the -35.5 against their in-state rival.

Michigan/Ohio State. A monster of a game. While I think Michigan is better than they were last year, they’re not going up to Columbus and winning this game. In fact, I don’t even think they cover. Give me the Buckeyes -8 between the two undefeated power programs.

A MASSIVE game between USC and Notre Dame. We need some chaos late in the season and I think it happens tonight. I’ll take Notre Dame to cover the +5.5 and win outright against the Trojans.

Auburn and Alabama. The Iron Bowl. Alabama should win convincingly, but it’s still a rivalry and I think the Tigers keep it closer than people think. Give me Auburn +22.

The Gamecocks looked great against Tennessee, so now it’s time to look like garbage. Give me Clemson -14.5 at home.

Tennessee is limping to the finish line and thee ‘Dores are looking for blood. Give me Vanderbilt +14.

On Friday we have Arkansas and Missouri. I like how Arkansas is playing right now but I’ll take Missouri at home. Tigers +4.

Another Friday game is the battle of the sunshine state. I’ll take the ‘Noles to win but I expect a close game. Even in Doak Campbell, I’ll take the Gators to cover the +9.5.

Oregon and Oregon State. Incredibly underrated rivalry. I’ve been high on the Beavers all year but I think the Ducks cover the -3 on Saturday.

TCU can’t pull away in games. Iowa State is a bad team, but they’ll keep it close. I’ll take the Cyclones +10.

Penn State will beat Michigan State, but are they 19 points better? It’s still a James Franklin team we’re talking about. I’ll take Sparty +19.

Colorado is still BAD. Just embarrasingly bad. I’ll take Utah -29.5 there.

LSU and Texas A&M. In Kyle Field, I think the Aggies keep it close and cover the +10.

UCF and South Florida. I’ll take the Knights -19.5 against one of the worst teams in college football.

Kansas is falling apart and I’ll bene high on Kansas State all year. I’ll take the Wildcats -11.5.

The Apple Cup! Who doesn’t love the Apple Cup?? Washington -2.

Dean’s Picks:

As I wrote about in Final Feelings - I have the Dawgs big over the Jackets

19 Tulane heads to Cincinnati - if I am not mistaken the Cotton Bowl is on the line in this deal. I will take the Bearcats (-1) as a slight home underdog

Baylor tries to get over its tough loss on the last play of the game last week to TCU. I bet No. 23 Texas wins, but I will take the Bears (+8.5) getting more than a touchdown

It was a tough loss a week ago for UCLA, but the Bruins travel to the Bay Area to take on Cal in this battle of the ursidae family. I like the Bruins (-10.5) to cover and win

Love this Friday night game between the Noles and Gators - terrible color game… that’s a lot of colors that don’t make sense together. Maroon, gold, orange and blue - gross. The Gators are a big underdog on the road. The Noles have gotten it together - I like Florida State (-9.5) in this one

Ohio State hosts Michigan a year after the Wolverines absolutely hammered Ohio State at home. We’ve heard a lot about how Ohio State has thought about this game, and it is time to perform. I like Ohio State (-7.5) in this game. I’m not in love with this one, but we pick all of them. I just think Michigan has too many injuries right now.

There are a lot of nervous Taters right now. I think that’s a little over done right now. South Carolina played about as well as they have played this century in the huge win over the Vols. This won’t be that. Chickens won’t be running free in the secondary. I’ll take the Taters to win - Chickens (+14.5) and the points

Kentucky hosts Louisville, and although the Cards are ranked at 7-4 the Cats are favored. I think Kentucky (-3) is tougher. Take the Kitty Kats to cover

Here comes one of the odder Iron Bowls in a while. Bama is a huge favorite, and they win this game at home (at least of late). Take the Tide to win, but I have Auburn (+22) to cover

Big game in Oregon with the Ducks and the Beavers. I will take Dan Lanning’s crew to win on the road. Oregon (-3) covers the line

Iowa State heads to Forth Worth to try to trip up TCU, and anything is possible with the Horned Frogs. I will take The Cyclones (+10) and the points

Tennessee planned on checker-boarding Vanderbilt. I will take Vandy (+14) and the points

Love this game - Notre Dame heads to LA for the late-season fight with the Trojans. It is all on the line for USC. This is going to be a tough, tough ask for USC. Give me the Trojans to win, but give me the Irish (+5.5) and the points

In what should be Jimbo’s final game in College Station, LSU is a ten-point favorite to win on the road. I will actually take the Aggies (+10) and the points at home to step up and play well. LSU wins.

Speed round:

Michigan State (+19) vs. Penn State
Utah (-29.5) at Colorado
UCF (-19.5) at South Florida
Kansas State (-11.5) vs. Kansas

We Pac 12 at Night:

Love this - give me Wazzu in a very, very tight game against UW. Game is in Pullman, which is like playing it in Perry. Give me the Cougs (+1.5) and the points.
