ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs are taking on Josh Heupel’s No. 2 Tennessee Vols in Sanford Stadium. Dawg Post updates you live with what you can’t see on TV.


6:06 PM - With the rain pouring down, Georgia takes 8 minutes off the clock and connects on a 38-yard field goal.

Georgia leads 27-6 with 1:09 left in the 3rd quarter.


5:53 PM - Warren Brinson sacks Hooker on 3rd down and forces Tennessee to punt. Vols don’t score on a crucial possesion on first drive of the 2nd half. 


5:19 PM - Georgia drives donw the field and connects on a short field goal as time runs out of the 1st half.

Georgia leads Tennessee 24-6 at halftime.


5:06 PM - Tennessee gets into Georgia territory then Kelee Ringo plays the deep ball peerfectly and picks off Hooker in the endzone

Georgia takes over up 21-6 with 4:52 left in the half.


4:52 PM - Sanford Stadium crowd leads to two false starts on Tennessee offense. They settle for a FG after a 3rd down pass was broken up by Javon Bullard.

Georgia leads Tenneessee 21-6.


4:45 PM - Mykel Williams gets dinged up and walks to the sideline gingerly.

Kirby Smart going ballistic on the officials on the sideline after two holding penalties that have given Tennessee life early in the 2nd quarter. 


4:25 PM - Stetson Bennett throwing all over the Vols now. He hits Ladd McConkey, who was not offered by Tennessee, for a long TD. Georgia leads Tennessee 14-3.


4:18 PM - Georgia defense, thanks to Jalen Carter, forces a punt in the back of their endzone.

Georgia takes over on the 38.


4:11 PM - Georgia goes three-and-out after Bennett misses an open Dominick Blaylock on 3rd down. Georgia punts, and Thorson booms it 75 yards, down to the 1-yard line.


4:06 PM - Bulldog defense and Sanford Stadium crowd step up in Tennessee’s next possesion. Hooker overthrows an open receiver down the field on 3rd down and has to punt.


3:58 PM - Georgia offense storms down the field for a score. A bomb to Arian Smith, 16-yard run by Mcintosh and a 13-yard touchdown run by Stetson Bennett gives Georgia a 7-3 lead over Tennessee.


3:50 PM - Strong effort by Georgia defense forced Tennessee to settle for a field goal. Sanford Stadium crowd setting the tone early in the game.


3:44 PM - Promising drive for Bulldog offense is halted with fumble by Edwards. Bennett missed the recovery.
