ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs are considered massive favorites to beat Vanderbilt.
The Georgia Bulldogs were installed as a 38-point favorite to beat Vanderbilt this Saturday in Athens. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network and will kickoff at 3:30. No. 1 Georgia’s win over Auburn coupled with No. 3 Alabama’s struggle to beat Texas A&M pushed the Bulldogs back to the No. 1 spot in college football.
Georgia is accustomed to being a heavy favorite over Vandy. Last year Georgia was a 36-point favorite in Nashville. In 2019 and 2018 the Bulldogs were over a 20-point favorite to beat their SEC foes. Georgia has been favored by more than 30 points against Vanderbilt three times.
In addition, the Dawgs have covered the line against Vanderbilt in all of Kirby Smart’s games as head coach except one - the 17-16 upset win by Vanderbilt over the Dawgs in 2016. Georgia was a 14-point favorite in that game.
