Let’s take a look...
Wednesday:
5:30 p.m - Kell vs. Cherokee Bluff:
No Georgia targets in this one, but Kell is a team on the rise who could have a big season.
8:30 p.m. Johns Creek vs. Parkview
Parkview ATH Mike Matthews is the big prospect to keep an eye on, here. A borderline 5-star who already owns a UGA offer to play receiver, Matthews is one of the top two-way prospects in Georgia with length and ball skills at 6-foot-1 180-pounds. He’s also ranked by Dawg Post as the No. 4 prospect in Georgia for the 2024 class. Last season, Matthews caught 48 passes for 764 yards and 7 touchdowns.
Thursday:
5:30 p.m - North Atlanta vs. North Forsyth
No Georgia targets
8:30 p.m - West Forsyth vs. Archer
No Georgia targets, but West Forsyth (GA) RB Peyton Streko, an Air Force commitment, was on Georgia’s radar for a minute after running for over 250 yards and multiple touchdowns against Walton last year. The Wolverines also have a stout linebacking core and a promising young freshman QB who has plenty of D1 potential.
Friday:
2:30 p.m - Mt. Pisgah vs. Fellowship Christian
No Georgia targets
5:30 p.m - Cass vs. Kennesaw Mountain
Cass receiver Sacovie White holds a Georgia offer in the 2024 class. He’s one of the top playmakers in North Georgia with terrific body control and ball skills. He dominated a 7-on-7 tournament in Athens this summer where he was offered by the staff. White is ranked as the No. 42 prospect in Georgia according to Dawg Post.
8:30 p.m - Rome vs. Creekside
There’s plenty of talent on both sidelines for this game, but neither team has a prospect that Georgia is heavily pursuing at this time. Rome has players committed elsewhere, and Creekside is loaded with D1 talent as well. One prospect to keep an eye on is 2025 RB Chance Arthur at Rome.
Saturday:
10:00 a.m - McEachern vs. North Gwinnett
The lone Georgia target in this one is dominant 4-star DT Kayden McDonald, who still talks to Georgia, but appears to be a plan B or C option at the moment. He was un-blockable last year and expected to dominate opposing offensive linemen in 7A once again as a senior.
Dawg Post has learned that defensive line “commitment” Seven Cloud is no longer playing for McEachern.
1:00 p.m - Brookwood vs. Norcross
Of course, the big prospect here in Georgia TE commit, Lawson Luckie. With a new offensive coordinator at Norcross looking to air it out more, look for Luckie to get plenty of opportunities to catch the ball this fall. Sources say the Alabama Crimson Tide continue to recruit him, and he might take a visit or two elsewhere this fall, but right now Dawg Post expects the four-star to ink with Todd Hartley and Georgia in December.
The Brookwood Broncos will have Alabama QB commitment Dylan Lonergan slinging it around against the Blue Devils.
4:00 p.m - Walton vs. Mill Creek
Mill Creek is a team that could really make a push in 7A this year, of course led by five-star safety, Caleb Downs. The Bulldogs are not pushing for anyone else at Mill Creek that we are aware of.
Walton has a promising 2024 linebacker in Wendell Gregory who has SEC-level talent. He’s long, athletic, and holds quite a few D1 offers. The Bulldogs haven’t offered, but one in the future would not be surprising.
The Raiders also have three-star linebacker Ashton Woods, one of the top overall linebackers in Cobb County and step-brother of current Bulldog receiver, Dominick Blaylock.
7:00 p.m - Marietta vs. Grayson
The Marietta Blue Devils are looking to get back to their winning ways this year, but they don’t have any Bulldog targets on the roster right now.
The always-talented Grayson Rams still have a few Bulldog targets to know about including 2024 TE/LB Kylan Fox, 2024 DB Zion Ferguson, and 2026 OLB Tyler Atkinson.
