Former Georgia Bulldog Devonte Wyatt Earns BIG Payday With Green Bay

ATHENS - In case you forgot, Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs dominated the 2022 NFL Draft in late April with a record-breaking 15 Bulldogs being selected in the Draft.
The reigning college football national champions had one of the best defenses in college football history last season, and we saw multiple defenders, five to be exact, hear their names selected in the 1st round.
One of those defenders was defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt, who shot up NFL draft boards after an incredible combine performance and a stellar senior season for the Bulldogs. Wyatt turned heads at the Combine, running a 4.77 in the all-important 40-yard dash, an incredible time for someone at his size at 6-foot-3 and 304-pounds.
As a senior in 2021, leading Georgia to their first national championship since 1980, Wyatt made 39 tackles, 7 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, and forced 2 fumbles in 14 starts. He was one of the more underrated players on the roster and was often overshadowed by dominant defensive tackle and fan-favorite Jordan Davis, but he still showed all season that he was worthy of a 1st-round pick.
After seeing three of his teammates drafted ahead of him in the 1st round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Wyatt was selected by the Green Bay Packers with the 28th overall selection in the 1st round.
With a 1st-round selection comes 1st-round money, and Wyatt recently signed a giant contract worth 12.9 million over 4 years. Another former Bulldog, linebacker Quay Walker, signed his contract with Green Bay earlier this summer worth 13.8 million over 4 years.
The Packers love selected Bulldogs in the first round, selecting cornerback Eric Stokes in the 1st round of the 2021 NFL Draft. With two new Bulldog defenders on board, the Packers have +1200 odds to win the Super Bowl this upcoming season according to FanDuel.
