WATCH: Georgia Bulldog Players React to National Championship Rings

April 19, 2022

ATHENS - Kelee Ringo, Ladd McConkey, Kearis Jackson and the rest of the Georgia Bulldogs got to see the national championship rings they earned during the 2021 season.

The ring, which was made by Jostens, is massive. Georgia is in the midst of celebrating its third consensus and seventh overall national title in school history.

It has the Georgia “G” logo in the middle of the front of the ring with the College Football Playoff National Championship Trophy behind that logo. Both are surrounded by a slew of diamonds with the worlds “National” and “Champions” on the right and left of the ring.

The words “Connection”, “Composure” and “Toughness” circle the outside of the top of the ring. On the inside of the ring, the program celebrates that the title is the first in 41 years, and has Kirby Smart’s signature underneath.

Each player has their name in diamonds on one side of the outside of the ring with the other side adorn with the championship logo as well as the score of the second Alabama game.

Georgia’s 33-18 win over Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game in Indianapolis in January was the program’s first national title since 1980. The Bulldogs are set to open the season in Atlanta against Oregon on September 3rd. The Ducks are now led by former Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning, who also has former Auburn QB Bo Nix in his program.

Georgia’s starting quarterback Stetson Bennett will return to Georgia for his final season of college football. He ended 2021 with 2,862 yards, 29 touchdowns, seven interceptions passing and 259 yards rushing. He is 14-3 as a starting quarterback at Georgia.

The ring was shown off by Jordan Davis, Nakobe Dean, Zamir White, Devonte Wyatt and a slew of other former Bulldogs at G Day on Saturday.
