Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs continue to add to their excellent 2022 class, landing four-star defensive lineman Christen Miller‍ out of Cedar Grove (GA).

One of the top defensive line prospects not only in Georgia, but across the South, Miller is a quick, explosive 6-foot-4 295-pound interior lineman who chose the Bulldogs over Ohio State, Miami, among others. Miller never took an official visit to Georgia, but he never needed too. The Atlanta native has been to Athens so many times that he didn’t need an official visit to get all of his questions answered.

He’s been up and down on Georgia’s board over the years, but he shot back up their board over the last few months. Miller had a fantastic senior season where he dominated against the run, and showed he can get after the quarterback as well.

So what will Miller bring to Athens?

Size and quickness off the ball.

He has plenty of size and strength, but his quickness and get-off is what makes him stand out. He uses his hands well to get off blocks, has a great motor, and knows how to run down the ball carrier. He constantly finds his way into the backfield and can blow up any particular play before it starts. He lived in the backfield last fall and proved why he’s an SEC-caliber defensive lineman.

He’s been a multi-year starter for the Saints and helped lead them to a state championship last season. On a team full of talent, Miller continued to stand out week after week. He’s a leader on the field and his teammates gravitate towards him.

Overall, it’s easy to see the talent he’ll bring to Athens. There aren’t many his size who can time the snap and get into the backfield as well as he does. He’s an alpha on the defensive line and his size and quickness off the ball could help him have a very solid career between the hedges.

Miller gives Georgia another productive defensive lineman, joining 5-star EDGE Mykel Williams‍, 4-star DT Bear Alexander‍, and 3-star DT Shone Washington‍ on the interior. The Bulldogs also have 3-star EDGE Carlton Madden‍, 5-star OLB Marvin Jones Jr.‍, and 4-star OLB Darris Smith‍ who can get after the passer. If Miller can provide some consistent pressure from the inside, Georgia’s defense should continue to be one of the nation’s best over the next few years.
