ATLANTA - Former Georgia Bulldogs All-American David Pollack said he would be ready to rip Alabama’s heart out on Saturday.

“If I am a player I want to rip the heart out myself,” Pollack said. “I want to finish Alabama. They have prevented you from winning a championship.”

Kirby Smart and the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs will take on Nick Saban and the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide Saturday in Atlanta for the SEC Championship. The two have played in the game twice before with the Tide winning on the final play of the game both times (2012, 2018).

But it was the 2018 National Championship Game that was the most painful loss for the Dawgs - on the final play in overtime. The Bulldogs are a 6.5-point favorite to beat Alabama according to FanDuel

A former defensive end, Pollack talked about the Bulldogs’ top-ranked defense, and how they are a key to the game.

“I think Georgia’s defense is good enough to beat anyone,” he said. “Alabama is probably the most explosive bunch Georgia will deal with. I think it will be a 30-to-20-type game. Georgia’s front seven is the most dominant I have seen since I have been doing this. But that means nothing if you don’t finish.”

Georgia-Alabama will kickoff at 4:00 PM EST on CBS live from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
