ATHENS - Georgia Bulldogs defensive back Nyland Green was arrested Wednesday morning on multiple counts, and being held on a bond that adds up to $7,000.

Green was detained after being picked up by the Clarke County Sheriff’s Department just before 3 AM. He was charged with two Reckless Conduct (Misdemeanor) charges, 2nd Degree Criminal Damage to Property (Felony) and two charges of Carrying a Weapon in a School Safety Zone (Felony).

According to the police report filed for the incident obtained by the Athens Banner-Herald, on November 14th, UGA PD got a complaint about a male around McWhorter Hall "with what appeared to be a gun and possibly 'dry firing' while pointing the gun in the direction of another male."

The ABH goes on to report that during the investigation process "police determined Green was in possession of a black Beretta BB gun and later that Green also had a tan Colt M45A1 BB gun on school property in his dorm room."

Two days later additional warrants were sought for Green damaging an exterior window of Busbee Hall.  The the police allege in their report that "the most outside window pane located on the first floor of Busbee Hall had been shot out by a “very small projectile.” Upon further inspection there “appeared to be a small circular hole consistent with a BB bullet."
