Former Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman and current New York Giant Andrew Thomas‍ scored on Monday Night Football.

The reaction to Thomas’ score was swift, but former New York Giant Super Bowl-winning QB Eli Manning had the best take of the night just after the two-yard score when he said he was glad to see Thomas back in the Giants’ lineup.

“He hasn’t played in five weeks,” Manning said on ESPN2. “He just comes in an catches touchdowns.

Thomas played 58 snaps for the Giants during their 30-10 loss to Tampa Bay. The former Pace Academy star scored the only touchdown for New York in the game.

Thomas was an All-American at Georgia. He started at right tackle for the Bulldogs in 2017 before moving to left tackle for his final two years. The Giants drafted him No. 4 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Thomas is one of six former Bulldogs with the Giants origination. Azeez Ojulari, Tae Crowder, JR Reed, Lorenzo Carter and Isaiah Wilson are all with Big Blue.

Thomas wasn’t the only Georgia big man to score over the football weekend. Thomas’ former teammate Jordan Davis scored on a one-yard run against Charleston Southern, which sent much of social media abuzz.

The No. 1 Bulldogs travel to Atlanta this weekend to take on in-state rival Georgia Tech this Saturday on ABC at noon. Meanwhile, the Giants get set for an NFC fight with the Eagles this Sunday at 1:00 on FOX.
