ATHENS - The Georgia Bulldogs released their players of the week for the lopsided win over South Carolina on Saturday.

On offense JT Daniels and James Cook were picked by the program to be the players of the week for their performances against the Gamecocks. Cook had a 23-yard touchdown run against the Gamecocks. Meanwhile, Daniels had a 300-yard night with three touchdowns.

Nolan Smith was the defense’s only player of the week for the Carolina game. Smith was the team’s leading tackler. He had a career-high eight stops, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble that was recovered by Quay Walker.

On special teams Adam Anderson, Ameer Speed and kicker Jack Podlesny were picked as players of the week for the Carolina game. Through the first three games of 2021, Anderson has 12 tackles and three sacks. Speed downed Jake Camarda’s second quarter punt at the one-yard line, which set up the Bulldogs’ safety. Podlesny’s 36-yard field goal as time expired in just before the half gave the Bulldogs’ a 20-point lead at intermission.

The kick is Podlesny’s long for the season.
