ATHENS - Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence had on red and black Sunday - after losing a bet after Georgia’s 10-3 win over No. 3 Clemson Saturday night.
Lawrence, who grew up in Cartersville, played at Clemson for three seasons. He never faced the Bulldogs in his time in college. He was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
D.J. Uiagalelei replaced Lawerence as the starter for the Tigers this season. He got a rude awakening Saturday night as the Bulldogs sacked him seven times on the way to the Tigers scoring the fewest amounts of points in a game since 2007.
The win was Kirby Smart’s 11th win over a top-ten opponent. It remains to be seen where the Bulldogs and Tigers will be ranked after this weekend as polls are not expected to be out until midday Tuesday.
Lawrence seemed to take it all in stride - flipping his long hair a few times with a big smile on his face.
“You look good in red and black, man. I like it. I like it,” said the camerama, who is assumed to be former Georgia WR Terry Godwin, who played for the Bulldogs last decade.
The Bulldogs take on UAB this Saturday. Clemson hosts South Carolina State.
