ATLANTA - UGA coach Kirby Smart said Tuesday morning that he hopes Cal transfer Demetris Robertson can play this fall.

“I hope he can play this fall, but that is out of my hands,” Smart told reporters at SEC Media days. “We have to concentrate on the guys we have who are eligible. I won’t know much about the waiver. That is out of my hands.”

Smart said he was excited about adding Robertson, but that he was also happy about recruiting for the class of 2019 at receiver, which includes two 5-star prospects committed to the Bulldogs right now - Jaden Haselwood and Dominick Blaylock.

Smart also confirmed that LB Natrez Patrick and DB DeAngelo Gibbs are with the program. He would not confirm that the duo will play in the season opener this fall.
