ATHENS - Georgia checked in at No. 3 in this weeks Coaches’ Poll.

The Bulldogs moved up a spot to No. 3 after spending the last two weeks without playing, and with only two teams in the top five playing. Georgia, somehow, managed to gain enough voted to tie Oklahoma, which did not play this week, but jumped the Dawgs after a blowout win over Missouri State seven days ago. The Bulldogs remained unchanged at No. 4 in the AP Poll.

The top ten in the rankings started to show some change as a result of the Big Ten’s decision to play. Ohio State, which had been ranked No. 2 in the first poll of the year, jumped back into the rankings at No. 10. The Buckeyes and the rest of the Big Ten won’t play until late October.

Miami was the biggest mover up - jumping four spots to No. 14 after a win at Louisville. Meanwhile, the Cardinals dropped from No. 16 to out of the rankings. That was the worst drop of the week.

All told the Big Ten jumped back into the poll with five programs. The SEC has five programs currently ranked in the top ten alone.

Georgia opens the 2020 season at Arkansas. Dawg Post will be in Fayetteville live to cover the game.
