ATHENS - UGA coach Kirby Smart said on Monday that Georgia could be getting back one of its top receivers before a top-ten matchup with the Gators.
Lawrence Cager is the Bulldogs’ second-leading receiver in 2019. He missed the Kentucky game with an upper-body injury. Kirby said he expected the transfer from Miami to start practicing today in hopes that he will return to play against the Gators on Saturday.
Cager has 19 catches for 245 yards with three touchdowns. He left the South Carolina game after catching four balls for 48 yards. Cager had touchdowns in the previous three games. His best game of the season has been the Notre Dame game where he had five receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown.
