BREAKING: 4-star QB Carson Beck Commits to Georgia
ATLANTA - The Georgia Bulldogs strike again in the sunshine state. Assistant coaches James Coley and Todd Hartley recruit the state of Florida as well as anyone, and they have just landed one of Florida’s top prospects in four-star quarterback Carson Beck.
The big 6-foot-4 225-pounder out of Mandarin (FL) committed to Georgia over Florida after visiting Athens over the weekend. Most believe the Gators would be the team to beat for Beck, but a recent offer from Georgia put the Bulldogs firmly in the mix. After a successful visit this weekend, Kirby Smart and the Georgia staff were able to land his commitment.
Beck is the 3rd-ranked pro-style quarterback in the country and the 7th-overall prospect in Florida.
Beck becomes the 5th commitment in Georgia’s 2020 class, joining new receiver commit Justin Robinson, offensive tackle Broderick Jones, and defensive lineman Nazir Stackhouse and Jamil Burroughs.
As a junior, Beck threw for 3,545 yardas and 39 touchdowns.
