UGA DB Latavious Brini Arrested Thursday Night

ATHENS - UGA DB Latavious Brini‍ was arrested Thursday night on simple battery charges. 

He was listed as being booked into the Athens-Clarke County Jail Thursday night at 8:18 PM EST. Brini was released two hours later on a $1,850 bond. This is the second time Brini has been arrested in Athens-Clarke County during his time at UGA. 

UGA coach Kirby Smart released a statement on Saturday regarding the event:

“This type of behavior is extremely disappointing and not representative of the standards for our football student-athletes. His discipline will be handled internally and hopefully good lessons will be learned that will lead to better choices moving forward.”
