ATHENS - UGA WR Michael Chigbu is considering no longer playing football in the future.

That’s according to UGA coach Kirby Smart, who discussed the matter on Thursday.

“He's going through some injury things,” Smart said. “I don't know yet what he's doing. He may be thinking about hanging it up, but he's not decided yet.”

Chigbu is entering his final season at Georgia. He’s one of a projected 13 receivers on scholarship for the fall. The Louisiana native has been a big part of the Bulldogs’ run game under Kirby.

Sam Maddon, a reserve offensive lineman, is still with the program, but decided to stop playing football this spring.
