Danielle Carnegie, WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME. You should have been a Ladydawg from the jump. Great job Coach Abe and staff, the Ladydawgs are on our way back to greatness. I don't know about you all, I am as excited as I was when we signed the number one class back in 1994. I can't wait for November.

Excellent news! This makes me really excited for next season.

We will have multiple dynamic scorers in the backcourt.

I am going to say this, we will be a tournament team next year. The big question is how good will we be. I think that Coach Abe is looking for that defensive cente/forward who will be the enforcer. Mia Woolfolk is already an enforcer on both ends of the floor, but you need that center with her. Ojenuwa will be very good on both ends with her athleticism and she could be the one. There are some other players out there who could make us another Texas type defensive team. But, I look at our new look offense with Trinity Turner, Mia Woolfolk and now Danielle Carnegie. That is a super triangle offense and you are bringing in Ojenuwa, RylieTheuerkauf, Jocelyn Faison, Zhen Craft, Aubrey Beckham and Meghan Yarnevich. Just think about the past season, we beat Tennessee in their place, we led Texas for an entire half, we gave LSU all they wanted at their place, we lost to Ole Miss by a couple of baskets. Now we didn't do well against Kentucky because we had to guard their big people on the three point line, same thing with Vandy, Oklahoma and Miss State. We beat Arkansas, Missouri, Auburn and we played Florida better in the second half. If we can rebound better this season and play consistent offense, I think we could challenge for one of those 4 seeds. I will be watching to see are we looking for that center.

Defense is my question with this team, but we may be able to outscore quite a few teams.

Even though the roster probably isn't complete yet, it's looking like we will have quality depth next season if the freshman can adjust.

Caejal44, I have watched our freshmen and they are all very good defensive players. Aubrey Beckham is 5'11", Jocelyn Faison 6'1", Zhen Craft and Meghan Yarnevich both 6'2". They all have length and can cover a lot of territory. They will be able to match up and switch in Coach Abe scheme. Our success at the end of this past season was we were able to identify and close out on three point shooters. I think we will definitely be better next season with that. The team will have experience, but will still be young. But we will be a lot better.

I agree with mmixon that we need a true center that frees up Woolfolk defensively and shares the rebounding load, It also would allow her to face up more than she did this year. I think she has the talent to expand her offensive game next year. Also, we have added some strong scorers with the new additions, but I would love to see us get a knock-down shooter.

Additionally, it would be like getting a great portal player to get Savannah Henderson back and healthy. With the positive reports about her health, she could be that pure shooter we need.

It is great to see Abe get her type of players. These freshmen and portal transfers appear to be great competitors that will help us defensively. I am so excited that these players have the pure athleticism to consistently match up with the top SEC teams.

I am really looking forward to seeing this team!

What do we still need to get out of the portal? Do we have any scholarships left to give? What position do we still need to upgrade? I am so excited and happy.

We are at 11 players with a max of 15, so we have four scholarships available.

I don't think we have any pressing needs at any position, but we do need at least two more players in case of injury. Henderson and Beckham are returning from season-ending injury, so they may need more time to get up to speed. The freshman may also need time to develop, so more depth would help with that.

I would think we would look for a seasoned point guard, another shooter, and a defense-minded post with size. I don't think they would need to be anything more than solid role players, but if another impact player wanted to sign up, I don't think we would say no.
