but I don't think anyone can be disappointed. It does sting a little because I believe we had a shot at Hagans if Jonas had stayed. But, most of the ties to old staff are gone and now Crean can be judged on what he does from here on out. With 1 scholarship to give this year, we won't know anything about recruiting until a year where we can give 3-4 scholarships.

Agree. 2019 will be huge as Toe, Turtle, Mike, and Derek will all presumably be gone (assuming no medical redshirts).

Crean is recruiting against some monsters (and probably some cheaters) in the SEC, so the 2019 class will be very revealing regarding 1) whether or not he can recruit, and 2) what kind of team he wants to put together.

Yep, 2019 is an ultra important class. There are many good local players in the class. I hope Crean can make up ground quickly, as most will sign in November. Doesn't give him long to build relationships and convince kids of how we will play under him. The '18 season will have barely begun when signing day rolls around.
