Do we anticipate anything but getting boat raced?

Maybe it's one of those deals we play with a chip on our shoulder after MS ST and shake up the world!

Horrible loss. 100% street ball.

Blah blah blah blah turnovers blah blah blah blah shot selection blah blah blah too many turnovers blah blah.

These guys play hard. I just wish they played a little smarter. Stay hot, Justin.

Got robbed late on the end line call. Have no idea why Crean does not ask for review.

Up two minutes to go. Gotta close it out. Last possession was a train wreck. The Kier 60' heave at the end of regulation was a better shot.

Need to win one eventually.

Damn near stole one last night. This league is looking terribly weak this year. If we're hot and they're not we can win anytime we take the floor, and we're pretty bad. UT, KY, FLA, UA, Ark, Mizzou, etc may be a smidge better than Vandy, UGA, A&M and the like but the top of our league is as weak as anytime in the last 15-20 years.

I don't like our chances with Arky but we'll have a good chance at a W with AU and Ole Miss up after the Hogs.

Dawgleright may be a little harsh but I agree we don't resemble a well coached team.

He did ask for a review. The officials told him it was not reviewable. Maybe it's the difference between "who did the ball touch" and "did his foot touch the line." I dunno...

From what I could tell, the ref blew the whistle and indicated Kier stepped out of bounds.

I guess the play is dead at that point and cannot be reviewed since it wasn't a matter of who the ball touched last. The ref made a bad call because Kier was not out of bounds.

We blew a 10 point 2nd half lead. What I saw last night was street ball, one on one NBA type isolation, throwing up 3s, and very little defense. LSU played street ball too. If this is what college basketball looks like now, I don't want to watch.

It was a bad call by the ref, for sure. His foot wasn't even particularly close to the endline.

I'm also a little disappointed how they officiated Cameron Thomas...as in, they treated him like he was Jordan out there. Tough to overcome when the kid is a 90% free throw shooter.

I'm not quite as down on the style of play as you are, and I definitely didn't see as much isolation basketball as you. But I see a few obvious things that must change:
  • Sahvir and JK have to eliminate 75% of their turnovers. That would amount to another 5-6 possessions per game, as well as a couple less runouts for the opposition. The live ball turnovers are just killer.
  • Shot selection has to improve. If anyone other than PJ, Justin, or Christian wants to shoot a three, it better be wide open and in rhythm or at the shot clock. Otherwise, pass up the shot.
  • Rebound the free throw line. LSU got the ball back all three times(!) that Watford went 0-2 from the line, and once it resulted in three points. Murderous.

Solve these issues and I'll live with the rest. Easy for me to say, I know.

Go Dawgs.

Agree on all three. We need to shoot like our family's lives are dependent on it going in the basket. Many times our players seem to be happy just to shoot. Not really concerned that they keep missing.
