Hi Danny and welcome to the 'Dawg Post'. I hope you like it here. IMO, so far, so good w/ the board and overall site since its transition here off the CBS Sports / 247Sports platform.

As for DawgC (Bill), the last I heard he was a moderator on the 'Dawgvent' ($) website on rivals.com.

As for Oregon Dawg (Steve Patterson), Radi Nabulsi replaced his as the 'Dawgvent' Publisher in 2014.

Time does move on. Reckon they'll ever check over here? I hope this board gets as fun as it was in 95/6 etc

I doubt it. DawgC has been on 'The Dawgvent' for >20 years so it gets harder to change your ways after so much time. As for Steve Patterson, he might still be on 'The Dawgvent', but I wouldn't know since I wasn't a part of the site after it split into the 'Dawgvent' ($) and 'Dawgchat' (free board where the members mostly bicker about politics).

When we joined Dawgmaster's 'Dawgvent' board in 1996 it was pretty much the sole UGA sports message board. A few years later Jason sold it to Steve Patterson who moved it to Alliance Sports then Rivals.com platforms. While I loved DM's platform, I was never fond of the latter platforms.

Anyway, since then other UGA Sports boards have popped up that have split the fanbase:
- 'The Dawgvent' ($) and 'Dawgchat' (free) - Radi Nabulsi is well connected
- 'The Junkyard' (mixture of $ [VIP] and free) - Rusty Mansell is well connected
- 'The Porch' ($) and the 'Dawg Post' (free) - Dean Legge has been the sole proprietor since he broke off from the 'Dawg Run' in 2001; platform used to be Insiders.com, then Scout.com, then CBS Sports (same as 'The Junkyard'), then Dean went out on his own a week ago and stood up this site from scratch
- 'The Dawg Run' (free) - was popular for about 10 years but has been in a steady, slow decline as many longtime posters drifted off
- 'Hair of the Dawg' (free) - prolific poster TEEDAWG [RIP] from the 'Dawgvent' was exiled and started it up circa 2015; very similar to the 'Dawgchat', except they occasional post about UGA sports and the site is ad free
- 'SEC Rant - Georgia Sports Forum' (free)
- AJC's 'Dawgnation Football Forum' - a lot of posters (e.g., BobcatGrad, DawgFanfFromAlabam, pgjackson) from the 'Dawg Post' (free) site transitioned there over the past year

Fwiw, from 1999-2006, I created and ran my own non-profit (i.e., no subscription, no ads) UGA Sports website called 'Dawg Treasures'.

Anyway, I'm trying to help Dean out here as he comped me a subscription ~5 years ago based on my post quality, research, insights, passion for UGA, etc.

Note: some longtime posters (e.g., Cartersville Dog [Sid], DC Dog [Bob], ghost [Graeme], Lilburn Dawg [Jack], Suwaneegadawg [Craig], TEEDAWG) have all passed away. Others like Jim from Duluth (stroke) and Old Dawg (Bob) no longer post on message boards while Bassndawg (Robert), flikdiva (Srav), Lady Dawg (Lynn), et al. only Tweet on Twitter.
