CARROLLTON - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are off to a tremendous start in the 2025 class, but it’s never too early to look further ahead.
The Dawgs have offered some of the state’s best already in the 2026 class, and it’s clear they sit in a favorable position right now for one of the top 2026 prospects in the state.
That would be Douglas County (GA) EDGE defender, Jordan Carter.
A prospect that saw his recruitment take off in January, Carter is a lean 6-foot-4 240-pounder who really impressed during the Atlanta Under Armour Camp this past weekend.
Carter holds an offer from the in-state powerhouse and quickly broke down his interest in Georgia with Dawg Post.
“I love the Dawgs”, Carter said. “They’re an awesome team. They have awesome coaches and I’m really close with coach Diribe. He’s a great coach and he pushes his guys to be great.”
“Georgia’s special because of the coaching staff”, Carter added. “The way they coach their players really stands out. They tend to them on and off the field so they can be great student-athletes and great men.”
A young man mature beyond his years, Carter is coming off a dominant sophomore season for the Tigers where he made 84 tackles, 13 TFLs and 15 sacks.
As a prospect, Carter is a big-time pass-rusher with an outstanding motor who lived in the backfield last season. He brings some explosiveness and fires off the ball quickly, allowing him to get into the backfield with ease. He’s bigger than he looks, so while he can beat opposing tackles with his speed, he’s also strong enough to overpower linemen as well. Just a sophomore, Carter showed week after week why he’s one of the more dominant 2026 defenders across Georgia.
Carter has a giant offer list already, but it’s clear Georgia could be firmly in the race the entire way.
