James Coley Promoted to Offensive Coordinator: Recruiting Effect

January 11, 2019

ATHENS - As expected, head coach Kirby Smart promoted co-offensive coordinator James Coley to the permanent offensive coordinator position on Friday morning.

Coley has done a great job as a recruiter in his first three years at Georgia, so there will likely not be a drop-off in that area. With Coley staying on the staff, expect Georgia to continue recruiting the south Florida area very well. As a former assistant at both Miami and Florida State, the 45-year old knows the state of Florida very well and has helped the Bulldogs sign many impact players from that area.
