Peyton Manning: No, I Won't Wear Red & Black. I Would "Get Sick"
Former Tennessee QB Peyton Manning would “get sick” if he had to wear UGA colors.
“They wanted to know if I wanted to wear black and red like Tiger,” Manning said Sunday during The Match on TNT, which raised millions of dollars for COVID-19 relief. “I’m like: ‘I’m not wearing black and red - that’s Georgia Bulldogs colors. I just can’t do that.”
Manning never lost to UGA during his time as a player, but has watched as the Bulldogs have turned the tide in the big contest since he’s left. UGA has won the last three games with the Vols by an average of 32 points.
“If you want me to get sick on the first hole I’ll do it,” Manning said. “But I am not going to let Kirby Smart get a picture of me in black and red for their social media accounts.”
