Tom Crean Adds 5th Top 100 Commit to UGA Class

ATHENS - Sahvir Wheeler‍, a four-star point guard from Houston, committed to UGA on Monday. 

UGA had not announced his signing when he announced, but that is expected soon. The move means the Bulldogs now have five consensus Top 100 prospects in a class for the first time in school history. 

Anthony Edwards, Christian Brown, Jaykwon Walton and Toumani Camara have already signed with Georgia. The addition of Wheeler gives the Bulldogs a true point guard for this recruiting cycle - something that’s been missing in the program for some time. 

The addition of Wheeler also moves the Bulldogs to the No. 6 team in recruiting rankings - jumping the Gators and Gonzaga to tie North Carolina in the process.
